RAN Locate Terms

Using RAN Locate
You must provide accurate account information, protect your login, and use RAN Locate only for lawful private location sharing, safety, group coordination, or authorized workforce operations.
Consent and permissions
Do not track a person without their knowledge and valid consent. Each adult controls their own sharing. Group owners and business managers are responsible for invitations, roles, disclosures, retention policies, and permissions.
Safety limitations
RAN Locate is a coordination tool, not an emergency service. SOS, check-ins, alerts, routes, and driving insights may be delayed or unavailable because of device, browser, GPS, battery, network, or permission limitations. Call emergency services when immediate help is required.
Location accuracy
Locations, addresses, speeds, routes, arrival times, and driving events may be estimated. The app shows update time and available accuracy information; users may report or correct inaccurate trips.
Business use
Employers must provide clear tracking disclosures, obtain required consent, limit collection to authorized work periods, and comply with employment, privacy, wage, and record-retention laws.
Member content and safety
Do not send unlawful, threatening, abusive, deceptive, or objectionable messages. Members can report messages and block senders. RAN Locate may review reports, remove content, restrict accounts, or preserve information when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement of these terms.
Acceptable use
You may not stalk, harass, impersonate, bypass permissions, scrape private data, interfere with the service, send abusive invitations or messages, or use RAN Locate for unlawful surveillance.
Accounts and groups
You may leave groups and delete your account. Ownership may transfer to another member before deletion; empty groups may be removed. We may suspend abusive or security-threatening accounts.
Plans and third-party services
Family launch access is currently provided without repeated upgrade prompts. Future optional paid services will display price, renewal, cancellation, and entitlement terms before purchase. Third-party maps, messaging, hosting, and mobile platforms have separate terms.
Availability and liability
The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, Ran Technology LLC is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate location, delayed alerts, device limitations, unauthorized user conduct, or reliance on the app instead of emergency services.
Changes
We may update these terms as features or laws change. Continued use after notice means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop sharing and delete your account.
These terms govern use of RAN Locate. Additional written terms may apply to paid, roadside-assistance, or business services when introduced.
